The Engine & Machinery Division of Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.(HHI-EMD) has developed its own specially designed HiMSEN engines incorporating its valuable experience and Technical know-how acquired in manufacturing diesel engines for over two decades.
The HiMSEN engine is a four-stroke medium speed engine with power range of 575kW to 10,000kW. The engine has a robust modular design for durability and ease of maintenance. It uses a hi-pulse exhaust gas system for better fuel efficiency and load performance. In addition, the engine is able to run on both marine diesel oil and heavy fuel while meeting all emissions standard. Thus, the HiMSEN engine is regarded as the most practical and environmentally friendly engine.
